Whatever brought you here, start where you actually are.
MyHGY™ helps you separate what happened from what your mind is now telling you it means — and shows you one real thing you can do from here.
Show me what I can do from here. What is the MyHGY™ Method? →The MyHGY™ Method is built for where you actually are. These situations are the starting point — not a label.
The guided experience for each situation is coming. Learn what to expect →
A different starting point
Most personal-development tools are built for people who aren't moving yet. The MyHGY™ Method is also for people already in motion — whose mind has lost track of what they've done, what they've handled, and what they've built.
The problem isn't effort. The problem is that effort without a visible record disappears. The mind defaults to what it can still see — and when progress isn't visible, it's as if it didn't happen.
See how the method makes progress visible →"I am doing things. I may actually be progressing. But I cannot see or feel my progress."
There's a difference between a wish and a goal, and most people never close the gap. CAS is what closes it.
Knowing exactly where you stand, right now, without the fog.
Reading your own life through what's actually true — through your own record — instead of a mood, a fear, or an old story about who you are.
Finally trusting the version of you that the evidence has been proving, one entry at a time.
The sequence
Something has happened that is real, and it deserves to be named clearly.
Separate the event itself from the conclusions that have formed around it — and the feared futures that have not yet arrived.
Identify what remains within your control or influence today, even if it is smaller than you wish.
Choose a meaningful destination proportional to where you are — not where you imagined you would be.
Take one concrete next step rather than continuing to analyze the situation.
Decide to keep going — not because every day will be good, but because returning after difficulty is what progress actually looks like.
Notice and preserve meaningful moments while life is happening, before memory collapses the day into a single verdict.
Allow the accumulated evidence to show you what is actually changing — so that confidence is built on what you have lived, not on what someone told you to believe.
Athletes train. Musicians rehearse. Students study. Pilots run checklists before every flight. Teams practice before the game.
You already know this is true in your own life, in the simplest ways. To become leaner, you take up an exercise routine. To become healthier, you start to eat better. To enhance your career, you get more prepared and certified. To become a better parent, you pay more attention and become more present.
Personal development works the same way. One lesson, one book, one great conversation can show you something true — but it only becomes part of you through a proven system, built by doing it again. And again — until it's no longer something you're choosing. It's something your subconscious has already accepted as true.
Here's the practice. Every day, life hands you real fuel — a win at work, a hard moment you got through, a look from someone who loves you. Carry a notebook, or use your phone. Every single day, find at least three real instances and write them down. Writing them down is what gets them into your subconscious. Do this without exception, and a record builds — one you can trust, because you wrote it while it was happening, not after your memory reshaped it.
That record is where Clarity, Accuracy, and Self-Confidence come from.
Personal development deserves a practice — the same way anything worth becoming great at deserves one.
What the practice looks like
The MyHGY™ Method is not an app. It is a repeatable structure for the ordinary days — one you can begin manually, with whatever you have at hand.
Separate what actually happened from the story your mind has built around it.
Something is still within your control or influence. Name it.
A meaningful destination — even a modest one — gives consecutive actions somewhere to go.
Not a plan. One action, today.
Pause to recognize meaningful moments: something handled well, a connection made, a fear faced.
Write it down close enough to the moment that the detail and the feeling are still alive.
Compare what you preserved against the mind's verdict. When the practice breaks — return.
Hall of Fame
The ideas behind MyHGY™ grew from a long tradition of serious thinking about attention, self-image, agency, evidence, and what it means to remain a capable person in the face of difficulty.

Our Story
For most of my life I told myself the same story: I was talented, but I had no structure. School had been hard. Structure felt unnatural to me. I started things and didn't finish them, and over the years, "I don't stick with things" became part of how I saw myself. I believed it, because I had years of proof to back it up.
Then I learned something that changed everything: your mind doesn't check whether a belief is true. It just accepts whatever you repeat into it, over and over, until repetition alone makes it feel like fact. That's exactly how "I have no structure" became true for me. Not because it was — because I said it to myself for fifty years.
So I started carrying a notebook every day and using the small instances of magic that happened in my life. My boss stopping me in the hallway to say I'd done great work. A client calling to say he wanted to bring me more business. One of my daughters looking me dead in the eyes and smiling at me for no reason at all. I became committed to finding at least three of them every single day and writing them down. The more I looked, the more I noticed how many good things were actually happening that I'd been disregarding. And the more I wrote them down, the more I could feel my subconscious handing me back a different, more positive reality.
I stopped drinking. I trained for and finished a half marathon. I read 27 books in eight months, after fifty years of believing I couldn't sit still long enough to finish one. I rode a three-day off-road rally across Panama. And somewhere in the middle of doing all of it, I noticed something: I wasn't chasing these things out of desperation anymore. I was going after them with Clarity about where I stood, Accuracy about what was actually true, and Self-Confidence built from a growing pile of evidence I could see with my own eyes.
That's what MyHGY is. I found the fuel that was already in my life every day. I built a practice around catching it. And I want to hand you the same practice.

Every entry, every day, at least three — that's what builds Clarity, Accuracy, and Self-Confidence. That part never changes, and it works with nothing more than a notebook.
